In this video today, I'm sharing recipe to cook Pulav faster than Khichdi. It's so delicious and fast to cook. Pulav is liked and loved by everyone and every region. And can be eaten with Korma, Chhole, Dal Tadka, etc. So, let's start cooking Pulav in just 5 minutes ...
# Ingredients:
--------------
- 1 cup Basmati Rice (बासमती चावल)
- 2 nos Onions (प्याज)
- 3 nos Green Chillies (हरी मिर्च)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
- 20-25 nos Black Pepper (काली मिर्च)
- 2 nos Star Anise / Illicium Verum (चक्र फूल)
- 1 inch Cinnamon (दालचीनी)
- 1 nos Black Cardamom (काली इलाइची)
- 2 nos Green Cardamom (हरी इलायची)
- 4-5 nos Cloves (लौंग)
- 10-12 nos Cashew Nuts (काजू)
- 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves (धनिये के पत्ते)
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil (खाना पकाने का तेल)
- 25 gm Butter (मक्खन)
- 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste (नमक)
# Method:
---------
- "Ingredients to cook Pulav"
- 1 cup of Basmati Rice,
- 2 nos of Fine Sliced Onions,
- 3-4 nos of Long Sliced Green Chillies,
- 1/2 tsp of Cumin Seeds,
- 20-25 nos of Black Pepper,
- 2 nos of Star Anise / Illicium Verum,
- 1 inch of Cinnamon,
- 1 nos of Black Cardamom,
- 2 nos of Green Cardamom,
- 4-5 nos of Cloves,
- 10-12 nos of Cashew Nuts each splitted in two,
- 1/2 cup of Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Wash and clean the Rice well
- Take a pressure cooker and put on stove to heat
- Add 2 tbsp of Cooking Oil and 25 gm of Butter
- Add sliced onions once butter melts completely
- Turn the flame to high and fry onions until turn golden brown
- Take out only fried onions in a plate and leave melted butter inside cooker
- Crush all 3 cardamoms and drop all spices into cooker
- Stir to roast for 10-15 seconds
- Add long sliced Green Chillies and Cashew Nuts
- Stir to roast again for 10-15 more seconds
- Now add washed Rice into cooker
- Stir to mix well
- Fry to 4-5 seconds and turn the flame to medium
- Add 300 ml of Drinking Water
- Stir to mix and add 1/2 tsp of Salt or to taste
- Mix again and close the cooker lid
- And wait till one whistle
- Turn the flame off and let the cooker release the pressure itself
- Open the pressure cooker once all pressure has been released itself
- Add few drops of Orange/Red food color as per choice
- This is just to look Casserole (Pulav) nice and attractive
- Serve and enjoy with Dal tadka, Choole or Korma
- Garnish the Pulav from fried onions and chopped Coriander leaves
